Getting started
Create your account
Section titled “Create your account”- Open SongVerse and choose Sign up.
- Enter your display name, email and a password, then Create account.
- Open the link in the verification email we send you. You can sign in once your email is verified.
If your SongVerse offers it, you can also use Continue with Google instead of a password.
Signing in
Section titled “Signing in”- With your email and password. Forgot it? Forgot password? sends you a link to set a new one.
- With a passkey, once you’ve added one (your device’s fingerprint, face or screen lock - see Your account).
- With Google, if it’s offered.
Finding your way around
Section titled “Finding your way around”The sidebar on the left takes you everywhere:
- Library - every song you can see: yours, your teams’ and the global catalogue’s. See The library.
- Sets - your song lists, with the upcoming ones listed underneath. See Sets.
- Songbooks - collections of songs, numbered or not. See Songbooks.
- Teams - the bands and groups you’re part of. See Teams.
Your name at the bottom of the sidebar opens a menu with the Dashboard (your songs and teams), Account settings and Sign out.
Build and Perform
Section titled “Build and Perform”The switch at the top right of every page changes SongVerse’s mode:
- Build - to write songs, prepare arrangements and sets. Light, as you know it.
- Perform - to play. The whole app turns dark, and a set’s songs open full screen (see Performing a set). The sun button next to the switch gives Perform a light theme instead, for daylight or outdoor stages; the moon brings the dark back.
SongVerse remembers the mode on each device, so the tablet on your music stand can stay in Perform while your computer stays in Build.
Language
Section titled “Language”SongVerse is in English and French. Pick yours under Account settings > Language. These docs are in both languages too: use the language menu at the top of any page.
Who sees what
Section titled “Who sees what”Everything in SongVerse belongs to someone:
- Personal things are yours alone, unless you share them.
- Team things are seen by the team’s members and changed by its admins.
- Global songs are in the shared catalogue, for everyone. They’re checked by a reviewer before they’re added (see Submitting to the global catalogue).
